ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - TODAY/TONIGHT- A cold start around freezing this morning becomes more mild in the afternoon, highs in the upper 50s and low 60s with mostly cloudy skies (10-20% chance for a light shower). Tonight temperatures drop into the upper 20s and low 30s, wind chills will be in the teens and low 20s.

WEEKEND- Wind chills will not be above freezing starting Friday night all the way through Sunday afternoon (potentially not even getting above freezing on Sunday, although it will be close). Wind gusts of 30-35 MPH will be likely Saturday afternoon, wind chills will live in the low 20s the whole day. 10-20% chance to see a few flurries on Saturday, mostly for the eastern counties of the viewing area.

The coldest night of the season will be Saturday night. Temperatures widespread in the teens (Hard Freeze) with wind chills in the single digits close to zero. Sunday highs will be in the low 40s, however wind chills will still be near freezing. Sunday night will feature another Hard Freeze with temperatures in the low 20s. Drip the pipes throughout the evening and mornings of both days.

EARLY/MID WORK WEEK- Temperatures begin to moderate. A cold start to your Groundhog Day ends chilly in the 50s. Even warmer by midweek with afternoon highs in the 60s and overnight lows finally above freezing Wednesday morning. Rain chances increase on Wednesday, showers and thunderstorms look to be possible.
