ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - Monroe High School Head Football Coach Lacey Herring has announced his resignation from the program.
Herring shared the news in a post on his Facebook page addressed to the Monroe High School community and valued stakeholders. In the post, Herring expressed gratitude for his time with the program, writing in part, “I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to work with young people who consistently demonstrated resilience, commitment, and pride in representing their school and community.”
Herring went on to say that Monroe High School holds a special place in his professional journey and that he is thankful for the relationships built and lessons learned during his time with the program.
At this time, there has been no announcement regarding who will replace Herring as head football coach.
