MOULTRIE, Ga. (WALB) - The City of Moultrie is seeking public input on a proposed street closure.
First Baptist Church of Moultrie has requested that the city abandon the portion of 5th Avenue Southwest between South Main Street and 1st Street Southwest.

The church asked to close the street and expand its parking and facilities located near Stringfellow Elementary School.
To help the community better understand what this change would look like, the city has placed cones along 5th Avenue Southwest, blocking it for the next week or two to simulate a potential permanent closure.
