ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) — Albany police released further details after a 17-year-old was found dead inside a vehicle Sunday, June 28, morning.

Neontae Clark, 17, was reportedly found around 6 a.m. Sunday in the 2000 block of West Oglethorpe Avenue. Now, an incident report confirms Clark had a gunshot wound to the right side of his neck.

APD also said officers discovered what appeared to be a handgun in the front driver’s side floorboard.

Clark was sitting in the driver’s seat of a Nissan Sentra, APD said. An unidentified witness recorded in the incident report said that Clark appeared to have been drinking.

The witness told police that the doors of the Nissan were locked.

Police said they saw tire marks and a piece of the car’s bumper on the street, where it appears that the Nissan left the roadway.
