Danielle Weaver, 29, turned herself into authorities following an investigation into allegations of inappropriate teacher-student contact at a Lee County School.(Lee County Sheriff's Office)

The indictment alleges that Weaver committed sexual acts with one male student at the Lee County 9th Grade Academy, in the parking lots of Lee County High School and at a restaurant on Highway-19.

Following the indictment, LCSS released a statement. Read it in full below.

“Ms. Weaver resigned, in lieu of termination, in February of 2026 after an internal investigation revealed evidence that led to further investigation and charges by law enforcement. We fully support the legal process, as well as the student and family involved.”

Arrest

On Feb. 18, Weaver turned herself in to authorities after warrants were taken out for her arrest.

This comes after the Leesburg Police Department was made aware of allegations against Weaver regarding inappropriate contact between a teacher and student and called the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) to assist.

Bond Conditions

According to Weaver’s bond conditions, she’s not allowed to:

  • Have any direct or indirect contact with the student in question
  • Be within one mile of the student in question
  • Return to any education facility which accommodates any person(s) under the age of 18 years of age in Lee County unless accompanied by the Lee County Sheriff, or Police officer, and only to retrieve her personal belongings
