DECATUR COUNTY, Ga. (WCTV) - There’s a new sheriff in town in Decatur County, and she’s hoping to help track down electronic devices.
On Thursday, the sheriff’s office introduced K-9 Dutchess as she joins its investigative team.
She’s trained to detect hidden electronics, like micro SD cards, hard drives and covert cameras.
More news out of South Georgia:
The sheriff’s office said these kinds of electronics often hold critical evidence, especially in abuse and sex crime cases.
She’s the first electronic detection K-9 donated in southwest Georgia and was donated by the organization Defenders for Children.
