ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - On Thursday, members of Doublegate Country Club have access to a resort-level pool.

The new pool features several new features to enjoy. The new pool has swimming lanes, two slides, lounge chairs in the water and a waterfall element.

Doublegate’s president, Steve Perrine, said the old pool was in need of replacement after six decades of service. The vision for the pool began last summer with help from board members and club members alike.

“We have modernized and now we’ve got a resort level pool. The member’s feedback has been phenomenal, and we just couldn’t be more excited to open up”

The facility officially opened for use on Thursday, May 22, just in time for the memorial day weekend. Those looking to get a membership can reach out to the country club here.
