Description
MACON-BIBB COUNTY, Ga. (WGXA) — A former Macon-Bibb Code Enforcement Officer allegedly violated his oath of office after sending himself an "explicit video" from the phone of a woman he pulled over, according to an incident report.
WGXA previously reported that Christopher Tyler Willcox, 34, was arrested on September 22 after Bibb County Sheriff's Office (BSO) investigators learned that during a traffic stop days prior, he sent himself "photos" of the driver from her cell phone without her knowledge or permission.
During the time of his arrest, WGXA reached out to BSO to learn more details about the incident, including whether the photos in question were considered explicit.
In an email, a spokesperson for BSO's Public Affairs Office responded with: " No, they were photos of the victim. The information released is what's available at this time during this investigation."
However, the officer who arrested Willcox wrote the following in the incident report narrative WGXA obtained on Wednesday:
"The accused did commit the offense of violation of oath of office by being in the capacity of his official duties as a police officer and committing a crime. The accused on a traffic stop sent an explicit video from the drivers phone to his phone without permission."
Documents obtained by WGXA from the Georgia Peace Officer Standards and Training Council (POST) describe Willcox's employment history in law enforcement. In 2014, Willcox worked for the Fort Valley Police Department, but resigned while under investigation for being "not completely truthful" about why he arrested a pedestrian for obstruction and for violating policy by leaving a driver he charged with a DUI unattended.

From 2015 to 2024, he voluntarily resigned from multiple law enforcement positions at agencies across Middle Georgia until becoming a Macon-Bibb peace officer in March 2024.
Court filings reveal that Willcox was granted bond on October 2 and released from the Bibb County Jail.
WGXA is working to learn more about the shared responsibilities between the Bibb County Sheriff's Office and the code enforcement agency and has reached out to Macon-Bibb County Government for an interview.
