ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - Drivers in Albany should plan ahead as a section of S. Jackson Street is set to close for construction early next week.

City officials say S. Jackson Street will be closed between West Broad Avenue and Oglethorpe Boulevard beginning Monday, April 20, at 8 a.m.

The closure is expected to remain in place through Tuesday, or until the work is completed.

Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes and should expect possible delays while construction is underway.
