CRISP COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) — As thunderstorms roll through South Georgia, the Crisp County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) is reminding the community about essential safety measures.

This comes after dashcam footage captured one of their corporals taking a fall while trying to clear a fallen tree from a roadway.

After the storms passed, our deputies took it upon themselves to clear a fallen tree from the roadway, and let’s just say... Mother Nature put up quite a fight.

Along with the playful video of the incident, the sheriff’s office provided the following safety warnings:

• Watch for downed trees
• Watch for downed power lines
• Slow down on wet roads
• Never drive around barricades
• Never drive around emergency crews

CCSO also confirmed that Corporal Nix, who was caught falling on the video, was not injured.
