A haunted house in Macon is back for a second year in a row. Spooky season means plenty of haunted houses in Middle Georgia to catch a thrill. WGXA News has your inside spook - I mean, your inside scoop - about one scare, that's all about care. Terror Behind the Temple is scaring while caring.

"Last year was good; this year is going to be better," said Chief Rabban with Al Sahai Shrine Center, Robert Garner.

You've probably seen them before. Men wearing fezzes with black tassels. The Shriners are widely known for having fun while supporting various causes.

"Shriners are Masons. So, we support the local Masonic Children's home," Garner explained to WGXA on Friday.

The Shriners teamed up with a group from who previously ran a haunted house in Jones County. This year, they've joined together for 'Terror Behind the Temple".

From costume to makeup, Johnny Smith, who has worked with haunts for nearly 15 years, says it takes about an hour to get ready.

"The first person to get scared - It's like you get addicted to it."

Dennis Howdeshell, with Al Sahai Shrine Center, said everything took about two weeks to set up.

"We need to get known in Middle Georgia," Howdeshell said. "It's for a good cause; it's for all the charities we work for."

Terror Behind the Temple is located at 222 Shrine Park Rd., in Macon.

Tickets are $15 dollars. Children under 12 get in free.

Dates: October 17, 18, 24, 25 from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.

On Halloween night, Terror Behind the Temple will be open until 'all are horrified'.
