BAINBRIDGE, Ga. (WALB)— A new riverfront hotel is now open in Downtown Bainbridge. Community leaders and Chamber members recently cut the ribbon at Element Bainbridge Riverfront, a new Marriott-branded property located along the Flint River.

The Bainbridge-Decatur County Chamber of Commerce says the hotel, developed by Port City Hospitality, brings new tourism opportunities and growth while offering visitors a walkable stay near local attractions. The hotel sits just two blocks away from Bainbridge’s downtown square.

The hotel’s general manager said reservations began over the weekend, with investors and city employees connected to the project among the first to stay at the property.

The hotel emphasizes health and wellness and eco-friendly design, featuring unique touches such as cardboard chandeliers and views overlooking the river. Amenities include a full bar, made-to-order food, yoga/fitness options, bikes for the nearby trail, and an outdoor patio and pool.
