LEE COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) — Two people are facing charges after an alleged armed robbery on May 11 led to a drug bust, according to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO).

LCSO said in a Facebook post Monday, May 18, that one of the suspects, identified as Sean Smith, allegedly threatened a woman at Kinchafoonee Mobile Home Park with a gun and stole two cell phones from her.

Arrest warrants were issued for Smith for Armed Robbery, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, LCSO said.

LCSO said that on May 13, deputies were called to the mobile home park after a call about an unwanted guest. Deputies were advised that the suspect from the armed robbery had returned to the scene in a silver Mercedes-Benz.

Deputies reportedly saw the vehicle at the mobile home park and initiated a traffic stop. Sean Smith was arrested in connection to the armed robbery investigation.

The stolen cell phones from the armed robbery were also found and returned to the victim.

A female passenger in the vehicle, identified as Nadia Cintron Rodriguez, was detained at the scene. Rodriguez told deputies she was aware of the firearm being inside the vehicle and stated she was a convicted felon.
