ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - Albany Police (APD) are investigating the armed robbery of a business that happened on Friday, Oct. 24.

Police say thousands of dollars were stolen in the robbery incident.

Dougherty County dispatch said they received the call about the robbery of a business at around 9:30 p.m. It happened at Smoke Shop, at 2500 N. Slappey Blvd.

Surveillance footage shared by APD shows a person, who is fully covered, entering the store.

Police ask anyone who may recognize the clothing or the suspect, is asked to call APD at (229) 431-2100 or Crime Stoppers at (229) 436-TIPS.
