LAKELAND, Ga. (WALB) — Three Lanier County High School seniors signed to continue their athletic careers in college on Monday.
K.K. Trejo signed to play basketball at Cottey College. Christopher McDaniel committed to ABAC for cross country. Kendrick Noble will play baseball at Aquinas College in Michigan.
The signings bring the total number of Lanier County athletes from the Class of 2026 who have signed to compete in college to 10.
The senior class has won two softball state championships and two baseball titles during their time at Lanier County. The baseball team is competing for another state championship this weekend.
Noble said the opportunity to play college baseball is something he has wanted for a long time.
“I’ve been wanting this for the longest,” he said. “Just to have the opportunity to play outside of my school and potentially after college too. I’m glad that it paid off. I wouldn’t be here without God, have to keep my faith strong. Family, they were supporting me the whole way. It’s just a great feeling.”
