TIFTON, Ga. (WALB) — Tift County High School (TCHS) surpassed the state average for 4-year graduation rates for 2026. The 2026 graduating class is 89.20%. The state average is 88.5%

The five-year adjusted graduation rate for the high school is 90.41%. This percentage represents those who may have needed additional time to earn a high school diploma.

Graduation represents much more than a number. Behind every percentage point are students who worked toward an important milestone and employees and families who supported them along the way. We are proud of our graduates and grateful to the teachers, counselors, administrators, support staff, and families who remained committed to helping our students cross the finish line.”

In a press release from TCHS, the school attributed the continued rates to a combined effort from students, teachers, administrators, counselors, and families.

The four-year graduation rate is determined by “the number of students who graduate in four years with a regular high school diploma divided by the number of students who form the adjusted cohort for the graduating class,” according to TCHS.
