TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - A trial date has been set for a man accused of committing three murders in Leon County and Valdosta earlier this year, according to court documents.

Flay Rollins is expected to stand trial November 30, 2027, after being indicted in April on two counts of first-degree murder, unlawful killing of an unborn child and firearm possession by a convicted felon in connection with two murders in Leon County, the court records revealed.

As of Wednesday afternoon, the timeline of the Valdosta case remains unknown.

Rollins was arrested in January after allegedly killing two women in Leon County, Sheena Kenon and Otica Williams, who was pregnant at the time of her death. He’s also accused of shooting and killing his co-worker, Walter Pettiford, in Valdosta.

Investigators believe all of the murders happened within 24 to 48 hours.

State Attorney Jack Campbell confirmed earlier this year that the suspect was out on bond awaiting trial for another attempted murder when he allegedly killed Pettiford, Kenon, Williams and her unborn child.

Just a day after Rollins’ indictment, the state filed a notice of intent to seek the death penalty.

Court records obtained by WCTV revealed that prosecutors intended to prove the following circumstances: Rollins was “previously convicted of another capital felony or of a felony involving the use or threat of violence to the person,” “the capital felony was heinous, atrocious or cruel” and that the felony was a homicide, committed in a “cold, calculated and premeditated manner without any pretense of moral or legal justification.”
