ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) – One man is dead and another injured after a drive-by shooting in downtown Albany early Thursday morning.

The incident happened just after 3 a.m. near the intersection of Broad Avenue and Front Street, across from Turtle Grove Park. According to the Albany Police Department, two male victims were inside a vehicle when another vehicle pulled alongside and opened fire. The suspect vehicle fled the area immediately after the shooting.

WALB was on scene, where a vehicle riddled with bullet holes was seen being towed away.

Police identified the victims as Malcolm Davis, 36, and Glenterrious Leftenant, 32. Davis died from his injuries, while Leftenant was taken to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, where he is listed in stable condition.

APD tells WALB that investigators have reviewed surveillance footage and are working to locate the vehicle. At this time, they are unable to provide a vehicle description and no suspects have been identified.
