PEARSON, Ga. — {Update as of Aug. 2} Pearson police located a man who was wanted for outstanding warrants outside the city limits, according to police.

Pearson police are searching for a man who ran from officers during a traffic stop on Aug. 1.

According to police, an officer with the Pearson Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Joshua Stringer, who has outstanding warrants through both the Pearson Police Department and the Coffee County Sheriff’s Department.

Police said Stringer ran from officers in an attempt to avoid arrest on the outstanding warrants. The incident occurred on Lott Avenue near North Main Street.

Stringer was last seen wearing a blue shirt and a black hat. He has tattoos on his neck, according to police.

Police said none of Stringer’s outstanding warrants involve allegations of violent offenses or firearms-related crimes, and he is not believed to pose a danger to the public. However, police are asking residents in the area to remain vigilant. Authorities are urging the public not to approach or attempt to apprehend him.

Anyone with information on Stringer’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Pearson Police Department or call 911.
