VALDOSTA, Ga. (WALB) - The Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia named Dr. Donald J. Green as president of Valdosta State University.

The appointment will go into effect Aug. 1, 2026, according to the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia.

Green currently serves as president of Gordon State College. He previously served as president of Georgia Highlands College from 2014 to 2021.
