GRADY COUNTY, Ga. (WCTV) - Two sheriff’s offices in South Georgia are warning parents after someone reportedly tried to lure a child into their truck.

The incident involved someone in a Black Dodge Truck yelling at a young boy outside, according to the Grady County Sheriff’s Office. The person in the truck was heard trying to coax the child to the roadside.

As of Thursday afternoon, the location of the incident has not been confirmed.

The Thomas County Sheriff’s Office also addressed the incident on social media Tuesday morning, encouraging anyone who may have information about the truck being in the area of Hunter’s Place in Thomasville to call TCSO at 229-225-3315.

Grady County deputies urged parents “to remain vigilant, know your child’s whereabouts at all times, and talk to them about the dangers of approaching unknown vehicles or individuals.”
