WORTH COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) - Worth County Schools officials are responding to a bomb threat received at Worth County Middle School on the morning of Monday, Feb. 23.
According to officials, the school building has been evacuated, and emergency services are on site working with school officials to ensure the safety of all students and staff.
A release from the Worth County School System states that students from Worth County Middle School may be checked out from Worth County High School. To pick up your child, please follow these instructions:
- Location: Worth County High School parking lot
- Entrance: Enter from the West entrance on Highway 313 (Monroe Street) at the school’s digital sign
- Check-out Process: Park and enter through the gym doors to sign out your child
- Personal Items: Personal items are currently unavailable and may be retrieved at a later time
- Bus Routes: If your child is not picked up, school bus routes will operate as normal
