COBB COUNTY, Ga. (ANF/Gray News) - Two people were killed after a Papa John’s semitruck crashed and overturned on an interstate.

The crash happened on I-75 north in Cobb County, Georgia.

Cobb County police said a Freightliner semitruck failed to maintain its lane and collided with another Freightliner. The first semitruck moved back toward the right lane, and a pickup truck pulling a trailer crashed into the back of it.

The pickup truck went across multiple lanes of traffic, while the semitruck, which was being used by Papa John’s, lost control. It overturned and crashed into a sound barrier.

Zory Beavers, 28, and Royan Osborne, 42, were killed in the crash. They were in the Papa John’s semitruck.

The drivers of the other two vehicles were not injured.

I-75 north was closed for several hours Friday.
