VALDOSTA, Ga. (WALB) - The Valdosta Fire Department (VFD) rescued two kittens from a house fire on Saturday, Oct. 11.
At around 11:05 a.m., the fire department went to the 2000 block of N. Sherwood Drive for a structure fire, according to the VFD.
When the first fire unit arrived, they found a large multi-story, single-family home with light smoke coming from the roof.
In addition to the two kittens rescued from the home, two residents were evacuated, VFD said.
No injuries were reported.
The fire was quickly brought under control, according to VFD.
