ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - [UPDATE: April 9, @10:06 p.m.] According to officials, 1 male and 1 female were shot at the Cedar Ave. Apartments on Thursday, April 9.

Officials say their injuries are non-life-threatening, and both individuals are in stable condition.

Authorities say that an unidentified suspect fled the scene in a black sedan. The suspect is described as a “light-skinned” black male.

This investigation remains active and ongoing.

[ORIGINAL: April 9 @8:35 p.m.] - The Albany Police Department (APD) has confirmed with WALB that a shooting took place near 1013 Cedar Avenue in Albany at the Cedar Ave Apartments.

Authorities report that the call came in on Thursday, April 9, around 6:07 p.m.

According to officials, it is unclear how many people were shot or the extent of their injuries.
