ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - Two people are now in the hospital after a Wednesday afternoon crash on the Liberty Expressway in Albany.

According to the Albany Police Department (APD), the two-vehicle crash happened in the 600 block of Liberty Expressway at North Jefferson.

Police say a white SUV was headed eastbound when it hydroplaned and lost control. The SUV crossed the median and hit a black Camaro head-on that was headed westbound.

Both drivers were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
