Description
VALDOSTA, Ga. (WALB) - Three men are still wanted after the Valdosta Police Department (VPD) made an arrest in a theft case.
Alex Nash, 41, Bruce Hallman, 47, and Ryan Sirman, 39, are wanted in a case involving the theft of over $110,000 worth of property from a local business, according to police.
At around 8:15 a.m. on July 21, VPD went to Cranky Ape, located on 1820 South Patterson St., after employees reported unknown offenders had entered the secured lot and stolen numerous items, including a pickup truck, flatbed trailers, numerous zero-turn mowers, and ATVs.
Police said that over the past few weeks, detectives continued to find evidence and recover property. Several pieces of evidence were analyzed by criminalists.
A lengthy investigation helped identify Nash, Hallman, and Sirman in connection with the theft. Additionally, Valdosta resident Jerod Maurice Younger, 36, was named as a suspect.
On Aug. 13, detectives got arrest warrants for all four men on the following charges:
- Five counts of theft by taking - felony
- Criminal trespass - misdemeanor
Additional charges are forthcoming.
VPD says Younger was found inside the Lowndes County Jail on unrelated charges. He was served with additional charges.
“If anyone is found hiding these males and hindering our ability to apprehend them or continues to hide the stolen property, we will prosecute them as well. Our detectives have done an outstanding job investigating this case. They have gone through numerous pieces of evidence, including surveillance videos, to identify the offenders. Through their hard work, they have also located several pieces of equipment that were returned to the owner.”
Anyone who knows the location of Nash, Hallman, and Sirman is asked to call 911, the VPD Bureau of Investigation Services at (229) 293-3145, the crime tip line at (229) 293-3091 or file a tip online here.
