Four people were killed and several others were hurt in a shooting that broke out after a high school homecoming football game in Mississippi, according to officials.
Mississippi state Sen. Derrick Simmons said at least four people were airlifted to an area hopsital in critical condition.
Citing Simmons, WAPT said 20 people were shot late Friday night during a gathering following the Leland High School homecoming game.
Leland Mayor John Lee told Fox Digital News he didn't have any information about the shooter, who was still at large as of Saturday morning.
"I just want to say, you know, our prayers and condolences go out to the family of the deceased and the ones that's been injured and shot," Lee said, per the media outlet.
In a social media post, Lee said he is "deeply said about the tragedy" and noted that a scheduled block party was cancelled as a safety precaution.
The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation is assisting in the investigation.
