ADEL, Ga. (WALB) - A multi-agency drug trafficking operation in Cook County led to two arrests, officials said.
52-year-old Ontio Miller and 41-year-old Santiago Hernandez Castillo face felony charges following a joint drug trafficking operation with the Adel Police Department and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s (GBI) Southwestern Regional Drug Enforcement Office.
Law enforcement issued a warrant for Miller’s vehicle during a traffic stop in February. Officers reportedly found marijuana packed for sale in the vehicle. A second search warrant was issued for Miller’s residence in the 500 block of South Poplar Street. Adel Police said they found large quantities of methamphetamine, cocaine and marijuana packaged for sale in the home. Scales packing materials and a .45-caliber pistol were also seized, APD said.
“This successful operation highlights the effectiveness of multi-agency collaboration, including the Southwestern Regional Drug Enforcement Office.”

Officials said Miller is charged with:
- Trafficking of Methamphetamine
- Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute·
- Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute·
- Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute within 1,000 feet of a Housing Project
- Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute within 1,000 feet of a Housing Project
- Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute within 1,000 feet of a Housing Project
- Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon

Santiago Hernandez-Castillo was also arrested in this investigation, police said. Hernandez-Castillo was arrested in the 700 block of Kennedy Drive, according to police. Castillo is charged with the sale and trafficking of methamphetamine.
