Description
ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - The city of Albany has had two on-the-job deaths in 2024.
Darrious Stephens died on Feb. 24 while trying collecting water samples from the Flint River, and Sebastian Dykes Jr. died on Dec. 18 after a trench wall collapsed on him.
Albany City Manager Terrell Jacobs sat down with WALB to discuss whether the city plans to make changes to employee safety protocols.
We will also request updates on the city’s investigations into the employee deaths.
WALB’s Lenah Allen will be providing reports throughout the day.
