Description
ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - Local organizations gathered in Albany Saturday, April 11, for a nonprofit expo designed to highlight the services they provide and expand their reach within the community.
The event gave nonprofits the opportunity to share information, meet potential clients and raise awareness about the resources available in Southwest Georgia. Organizations including Safe Space Network and Mahogany Advocacy Center participated.

Event coordinator Claresa Baggs said the expo helps the community connect directly with local resources.
“It’s important because there’s so many community members who are struggling to find resources that they need. They don’t know who to call. The numbers that they have sometimes don’t work, or someone is not answering and they’re in need of help and they’re in need of help immediately,” Baggs said.
Organizers said the expo helped nonprofits connect with residents and created opportunities for collaboration among the organizations themselves.
