Description

ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) — Budget cuts have left many educators reaching into their own pockets to fund classroom projects and exercises, limiting the impact they can have on students.

Dr. Quinita Morrow, an Albany State University alum and Newton County Schools 2026 Teacher of the Year, has found a way to expand learning experiences for her students.

Dr. Morrow is a marketing teacher at Alcovy High School with over 18 years of experience. She earned a business degree from Albany State.

Dr. Morrow is now in the running for America’s Favorite Teacher and a Community Catalyst Award through the PRISM3D Awards 2026.
