Description
ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) -Albany State University recognized more than 1,300 students who made the honor roll last semester.
The university holds the tradition each year to celebrate students for staying focused and moving closer to graduation. Students with high GPAs and strong academic performance were recognized with certificates and a photo opportunity with the university president.
“I think it’s important because it shows that they’ve accomplished a great deal and hopefully this will inspire them to continue their great work because this is going to help to launch their career goal,” said Dr. Florence Lyons, ASU Honor Society director.
University leaders said they hope the recognition motivates students to keep pushing toward graduation.
