COFFEE COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) - An alleged child sex offender from Pennsylvania was arrested in Coffee County on Thursday, May 7, officials said. On May 5, community members reportedly told Coffee County Investigators that Justin Eugene Carver was in the area.

“Our Sex Offender Unit is the best in the state, and if you come here looking to hide, you’ve got another thing coming. We will find you, and we will work with agencies across this country to make sure you are brought to justice.”

Carver is wanted in Pennsylvania for multiple charges, according to the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO).

Carver has active warrants from Pennsylvania, including for Corruption of Minors, Disseminating Explicit Sexual Materials to a Minor, Unlawful Contact with a Minor, Indecent Exposure, and Disorderly Conduct charges, investigators said.

A CCSO investigation indicated that Carver fled to Coffee County from Smithfield, North Carolina, after law enforcement learned he was working in the state.

CCSO deputies reportedly located Carver’s vehicle behind a home on Kamera Road. Carver was found in that home and arrested by CCSO Investigators without incident, officials said.

Carver was additionally charged as a Fugitive of Justice, according to the sheriff’s office. He will be extradited to Pennsylvania, CCSO said.
