SEMINOLE COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) — The Seminole County Sheriff’s Office say they are always up to help the community—even if it sometimes means relocating large aquatic reptiles following a scaly arrest Thursday, June 18, morning.

On Thursday around 7:30 a.m., deputies said they responded to the Arrowhead Estates community for an alligator in a residents yard.

The deputies decided to capture the reptile when they learned the nearest Wildlife Management Officer was over an hour and a half away, in Albany.
Deputies used duck-tape and a cloth to subdue the Alligator for safe transport. The gator was safely released into the nearby Spring Creek.
“We never know what the next phone call will bring, but our officers are always up to the task as needed.”
