WORK WEEK: The story for the first week of June is tapering rain chances, at least for the beginning of the week. Monday looks drier, a stray shower or storm is possible, but the story is less rain. Temperatures likely in the mid-upper 80s early in the week, cooling into the low-mid 80s late next week. A potential tropical system may perk rain chances back up late next week.

TROPICAL DEVELOPMENT? : Monday, June 1st, is the start of hurricane season and is also the start of Meteorological Summer. Right on queue, some models are picking up the possibility for a tropical system to develop. If it were to develop, the current track has it possibly effecting South Georgia late next week. Is a hurricane expected? No. At most, this will bring more needed rainfall to South Georgia, it may not even happen at all. The National Hurricane Center has not issued any development chances with this potential storm, however it is certainly something we will watch through the weekend and the upcoming week.
