ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - The Albany Police Department (APD) is asking for the public’s help in locating Braylen Robinson, who is wanted as a person of interest in connection with two separate recent shootings.

Police say Robinson is wanted as a person of interest in connection with the Tuesday, April 28, shooting in the 1000 block of South Cleveland Street. That shooting left five people injured, and 31-year-old Kiambria Young later died from her injuries.

Robinson is also a person of interest in a second shooting that happened Wednesday, April 29, in South Albany. Investigators say a male victim was shot while riding in a vehicle with a female driver and an infant child. After the shooting, the driver attempted to rush the victim to the hospital but was involved in a crash at Oakridge Drive and Madison Street. One vehicle overturned and the other went into a ditch. Multiple people were taken to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Authorities say officers later found the vehicle Robinson was driving and confirmed he was behind the wheel. When officers attempted to make contact, Robinson allegedly reversed and accelerated the vehicle toward officers, leading to a pursuit. The vehicle was later recovered, but Robinson remains at large, APD said.

Police said that, as a precaution, Robinson should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is urged to call 911 immediately.
