WASHINGTON (7News) — At least 71 people were arrested between Sunday and the morning of Labor Day, bringing the total number of federal takeover arrests to 1,599, according to Attorney General Pam Bondi.
A Tren de Aragua (TdA) gang member was among those 71 people arrested this weekend. Nine illegal firearms were also removed from D.C. streets, bringing the total number since the takeover started to 165.

"On this Labor Day, we honor the men and women in law enforcement who work tirelessly day and night to keep our communities safe," Bondi wrote in the X post. The Attorney General also posed for photos with several law enforcement officers on Monday.
