CORDELE, Ga. (WALB) - Candidates for the Cordele Chief of Police position will be speaking at the Cordele Community Clubhouse on Thursday evening.

After the community hears from the candidates, the public can visit with all the candidates and ask questions.

The forum will be at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 23.

This comes after former Chief Jalon Heard resigned from his position on Friday, Sept. 12.

Then, on Sept. 30, Connie Sampson was sworn in as interim Chief of Police.
