Description
SLYVESTER, Ga. (WALB) - Residents may be noticing brown-colored water coming from their taps, and city officials say the issue is tied to ongoing infrastructure work.
According to a post shared on the City of Slyvester’s Facebook page, the discoloration is the result of the current water meter replacement project. Officials say the work can temporarily disturb sediment in the lines, causing water to appear brown.
The City advises residents to run their water for 10 to 15 minutes to help clear the lines.
City leaders also apologized for the inconvenience and thanked residents for their patience as the upgrades continue.
