Description
NASHVILLE, Ga. (WALB)— The City of Nashville has issued an ‘all clear’ after a suspicious bag was found outside the Berrien County Health Department earlier Thursday, according to City Manager Hayden Hancock.
Hancock said there was no device found, and that the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) assisted in clearing the scene. Earlier, the city said the Moody Air Force Base Bomb Squad had been requested to evaluate the situation.
“There was no threat to the public. We appreciate the quick response of our first responders and the cooperation of the community during this precautionary evacuation. Normal activities may now resume in the area.”
Students at the nearby Head Start facility were safely released and picked up by their parents.
