Investigators with the Douglas-Coffee Drug Unit determined Alexander was allegedly concealing contraband on her person. After she initially denied possessing any drugs, authorities obtained a court-authorized search warrant.

The sheriff’s office said Alexander later surrendered approximately 27.2 grams of suspected methamphetamine that had been concealed internally.

Alexander was charged with:

  • Crossing Guard Lines with Methamphetamine

She remains in the Coffee County Jail without bond.

Coffee County Sheriff Fred T. Cole said the agency will continue to aggressively pursue narcotics investigations.

“Let this serve as notice to anyone trafficking poison into Coffee County. No matter where you try to hide this junk, we will do whatever is legally necessary to get it off our streets even if that means retrieving it directly from you. If you bring drugs into this county, expect to be caught and expect to be held accountable,” Cole said.

The Coffee County Sheriff’s Office said it remains committed to targeting narcotics offenders and protecting the citizens of Coffee County.
