Description
ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Decades after his body was found in the forest, state and local officials are still working to learn who killed an 11-year-old north Georgia boy.
Levi Frady was reported missing on Oct. 22, 1997 — exactly 28 years ago as of Wednesday. His body was found in the Dawson Forest Wildlife Management Area the next day.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI), the Dawson County Sheriff’s Office and the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office are still trying to solve the case.

According to the GBI, Frady was last seen on Little Mill Road in Forsyth County, a highly traveled route between Highway 306 and 369. A forensic artist created sketches of two potential witnesses.
The first possible witness, who was seen walking along the road at around 6:30 p.m. the day Frady went missing, was described as a white man in his late 50s with a scruffy gray beard. He was wearing a faded blue baseball cap and “walked in a stooped fashion,” the GBI said.
Meanwhile, the second possible witness was seen in the forest. He was described as a clean-shaven, slim white man between 45 and 55 years old who stood about 6 feet tall. He was driving a 1980-1985 blue Toyota pickup truck with a white camper shell over the truck bed.
Officials ask anyone with information about Frady’s death, or who can identify the witnesses, to call the GBI’s regional investigative office in Cleveland at 706-348-4866 or the general tip line at 1-800-597-TIPS (8477).
