ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) – Drivers in Albany should expect temporary traffic changes beginning today. The City of Albany announced that the intersection of North Madison Street and 7th Avenue will be closed due to ongoing sewer work.

In addition to the intersection closure, crews will also be working along North Madison Street between 7th and 8th Avenues.

City officials say the project is expected to take about one month to complete, though that timeline may change depending on weather or construction conditions.

Motorists are urged to use caution while driving in the area and to plan alternate routes when possible.
