COLQUITT COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) — Nearly a month after seven dogs attacked a 15-year-old boy in the Norman Park community, neighbors say the same pack is still roaming their streets, and want the animals removed before someone else gets hurt.
The attack happened Sept. 25 as the teenager was walking home, according to a Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office incident report. The report states seven pit bulls chased and attacked the boy, leaving multiple bite marks and scratches on his body.
The boy’s mother gave WALB pictures of his injuries and said her son is still completing a series of rabies shots after the attack.

Now, she believes the same dogs that attacked her son are still roaming the neighborhood.
Recent video shared with WALB shows a pack of dogs wandering through the neighborhood.
The Moultrie-Colquitt County Humane Society said animal control is aware of the situation and has already tried to capture the dogs, but those efforts have been unsuccessful.
“We know that they are feral and they’ve never had human contact,” said Brandy Tripp with Moultrie-Colquitt County Animal Control. “They don’t trust humans, so they’re not going to trust a manmade trap.”
Tripp said animal control officers have put traps with food and water in the hopes of capturing the dogs, but the animals have avoided them.
“We have set traps and they have not trusted and went in it, even with food and water being in there,” Tripp said.
Animal control officials said they’re now working with the city to help capture the dogs, emphasizing that both public safety and the welfare of the animals remain top priorities.
In the meantime, residents are urged not to approach or feed the dogs, and to contact the Moultrie-Colquitt County Humane Society if they spot them.
