TODAY: Unseasonably cool, mostly cloudy in the afternoon and windy. Out the door this morning temperatures will range from the upper 40s to mid 50s across SGA, with the coolest locations in our far western counties. Afternoon highs will generally be in the low 70s. A few locations may get lucky enough to squeeze out a couple light sprinkles today, mostly in the afternoon.

Hold your hats, wind gusts will be 30+ MPH. Critically low Relative Humidity (around 20%) and gusty winds lead to a high risk of fire danger. As a result, a Red Flag Warning has been issued from noon until 8pm today, that includes Albany and our NE counties. Very low Relative Humidity and high winds will allow for fires to spread quickly, so it is best to avoid burning if you can.

THURSDAY/FRIDAY: Temperatures starting warming up, more sunshine, and winds relax some. A chilly start with temperatures near 50 quickly warm up to highs in the upper 70s with mostly sunny skies on your Thursday. Can’t rule out a stray sprinkle in the morning mostly for our Florida-Georgia border counties.

Friday will be even warmer with no chances for rain. Highs will be around 80 degrees!

WEEKEND-EARLY NEXT WEEK: Very repetitive weather through this time frame, warm and sunny. Lows will range in the mid-upper 50s with highs in the mid-upper 80s. Rain chances look near 0% through the weekend and through the first half of next week.
