CORDELE, Ga. (WALB) — Cordele Police Department officers are investigating the death of an adult male found Tuesday, Dec. 9, around noon in the 300 block of East 9th Avenue.

According to authorities, officers responded to a call at the location, where they discovered the man deceased upon arrival.

At this time, the cause of death has not been determined. Investigators say that, based on the information currently available, there is no indication of foul play. The investigation remains ongoing, and officials say additional details will be released as they become available.

“We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the Cordele Fire Department, Crisp County EMS, Crisp County Coroner’s Office, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, and the Crisp County Sheriff’s Office for their prompt assistance and coordinated efforts at the scene,” police said.
