BAINBRIDGE, Ga. (WALB) — A Decatur County woman hosted a health expo Saturday, Aug. 8, aimed at teaching community members how to identify and prevent scams, while also addressing a range of health and financial topics.

Dr. Nancy Screen Jeffery organized the event as a way to give back to her community. The expo was held at 405 East Griffin Avenue in Attapulgus from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Attendees received information on scam identification and prevention, Medicaid, Medicare, finances, home health, nutrition, and breast health.

The event was sponsored by Nutrition in the Rural, LLC.
