ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) — Pine Avenue will be closed at Roosevelt Avenue beginning Tuesday morning, Aug. 11, for scheduled railroad maintenance.

Norfolk Southern crews will perform improvements to the railroad grade crossing during the closure.

The work is expected to take approximately one day. Pine Avenue will remain closed until all work is completed and the roadway can safely reopen to traffic.

Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area, use alternate routes, and allow additional travel time.
