ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - The Dougherty County Police Department and other agencies conducted a road check Friday, May 29 on Philema Road in Albany, issuing multiple traffic citations.
According to Jason Hager, captain with the Dougherty County Police Department, the road check started the “100 days of summer click it or ticket” campaign led by Dougherty County Police.
No arrests were made and no firearms were recovered during the operation, which lasted from 12:40 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Officers issued multiple traffic citations, including seatbelt violations, child safety restraint violations, no license tickets and expired registration tickets.
Hager said officials received a lot of traffic complaints in that area, which is why they conducted the road check on Philema Road.
The Dougherty County Police Department, Dougherty County Sheriff’s Office and Albany Police Department participated in the operation.
